Yellow is a colour that gives me energy and power. Energy of the good kind. Here you see Anahita Al-Molook in a dress from the Ghajar era, sitting on the steps of Omar Khayam’s mausoleum. I like the Ghajars a lot and I don’t know why. I have unconsciously used their dress style in my paintings. I like it, I guess. This dress and these colours give me a good feeling, a sense of belonging to a land, a place, a heritage. In short, and from the bottom of my heart, soul and body, I would like to wish you all, for every single one of you, a successful, happy and colourful last few days of the year [and the year ahead].
