Exhibitions, I am the one who is untraceable

Kurosh Ghazi-Morad

Kurosh Ghazi-Morad is a graphic artist and a calligraphist who is among the first people to arrive at the exhibition. Comparing the difference between this exhibition (I am the one with no address) and the artist’s previous exhibition at this gallery he says: “I believe the spaces in these works have changed in terms of light and colour compared to her previous works. The energies and the brush strokes are quite different. This is quite evident in one of the larger works in this exhibition. I think this is a very good start for Anahita Abutori.” To further explain the spaces in her new works, Ghazi-Morad adds: “the space she has worked in and particularly light has led to the larger works, particularly the 3-4 large paintings which have a special attraction. They are amazing. When an artist creates large pieces, she establishes a better communication with the spectator. The inherent energy and the brush strokes and movements in these larger works are influential.” In clarifying the differentiators of this artist, he further adds: “There are things that you observe in similar works and a few artists follow similar methods. But I think there are a few pieces in this gallery that are unique. I have not seen it [methods] before or followed by other artists. The genre of these works is different. I think this exhibition has a few good aspects. The setup and sequencing of the works and their placements with consideration given to colours is unique. I have not seen this anywhere else. “
